SWING A LITTLE – KIM A LITTLE
Another cigarette brand to propose another marketing plan to target woman, the picture sleeve shows 3 hyped ladies, behind a DJset (supposedly in a club) speaking about a 45 release, enjoying the slevve, the music and a good little Kim ! The stylish design of the pack and the cigs were made to attract the ladies. About the music : no title, band name or credit to be found, the single track od the 45, is a kind of late 60s groovy instrumental soundtrack with powerful horn lines, interrupted by a voice over by a woman asking to lite her Kim. But here it is taste it  (speaking of the sound of course) !

THE NILSMEN : LE WINSTON b/w SANDSTEP
The superb Brigitte Bardot picture sleeve was a very smart idea to attract young people to watch that promotional adverstising as a support for Winston and Camel cigarettes.
Around the same period, this was released with the A-side as the B-side and vice versa, with a different cover (see other sleeve). This beautiful packaging is backed with a fantastic musical soundtrack : They took a young and talented band from Sweden « THE NILSMEN »Â and created two superb slices of instrumental dancer, 60s hammond organ hipshaker. The heavy beat on Sandstep reminds me the Mohawks, with his scorching hammond grooves and big beat R&B rhythm, result is a winning dancefloor mover, as you like it or not,  this is a Smoking tune still appreciated by a lot of DJs around the world…• SouliganSANDSTEP:

- In the '60s, smoking was good for health...
Today, in our democracies, within we live completely free and equal, smoking has become unhealthy. Regarding the actuality, we realize that drinking, eating, breathing became as bad for your health as lighting a fag… When is the next departures for Mars… please?

For dancing, for sports, for games,
wear the Wrangler Jeans !This mid-60s advert item from belgium, is composed of a cardboard booklet, in which you could find inside a flexi disc containing a great dance song, sung by Joyce Williams. « The Wrangler Shake », and the song is supposed to be a Hit from the US. There’s also the instructions of how to dance the Wrangler Shake on the back cover!
The first track is sung by Joyce Williams and the second is an instrumental version of the song, you can hear the motown influences in the production and how cool that was to receive this free… I found a decent recording on YouTube from the instrumental side, there’s a video from the vocal side (best side) as well but too bad to be included here.
