The first Liege Rome Liege was run in 1931, exactly eighty years ago now.
This August we will run the revival of this events that was filled with thrills, excitement and glory. Glorious winners like Pat Moss, Erik Carlson, Jack Ixck, Eugen Bohringer became world famous.

The Liege Rome Liege 2011 will be run as a regularity event for cars build before 1968 and is in the hands of well experienced organizers, Classic Events. The start is on August 28, 2011 in Liege at the same holy ground of the eve

nts in the past, Palais des Princes Evéques. To finish in Rome on Friday September 2.It was this week that agreement was reached between the Royal Automobil Club of Belgium (RACB) and Classic Events about the revival of the legendary Liege Rome Liege. Classic Events with an impressive number of high quality events on its name will organize the forthcoming events at least for the next five years.

The Automobil Club is excited to have a professional organization to run the event, says mr Frédéric Mayens. Mr Bart Rietbergen is equally pleased to be able to add this events to the likes of the Winter Trial, Carrera Copacabana, Trial to the Nile and the Himalaya Trial.The length of the route is just under 2100 km.The 80th Liege Rome Liege is open for cars build untill december 31 1968
